Product Description
The sealing ring fits around the inside rim of the cover and forms a pressure-tight seal between the cover and the body of the pressure cooker during cooking. When installing a sealing ring, work it into the cover in four small sections, for example, top, bottom , left and right. Work it into the groove a small section at a time until it is fully in place. Place the cover on the cooker body. Put one hand on the top center of the cover and push down firmly. Open and close the cover several times.

They fit and hold a seal like they should, but they’re a bit pricy and don’t seem to last as long as they should. This will be my 3rd gasket since I got my pressure cooker in about 06. *EDIT* You know, I don’t think it’s just a gasket issue. I started getting steam leaks not very long after getting this new one and was incredibly frustrated that a new gasket would already have given out. But I noticed my lid was not fitting as snuggly as it used to so I gently bent the “catches” on the lid down just a bit to fit tighter and it made all the difference in the world. I think these lower end Prestos loosen up with use and need to be bent back into place.
